Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT) is a life-saving charity operating across Essex, Hertfordshire, and the surrounding areas. Its mission is to save lives and reduce or prevent disability by delivering 24/7 pre-hospital emergency care to critically ill or injured patients.


The service is provided by a team of highly skilled, specially trained pre-hospital care doctors and critical care paramedics who respond to emergencies using helicopters and rapid response vehicles, ensuring they reach the scene as quickly as possible when every second counts.


The Brief.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT) was looking for a forward-thinking, proactive Essex-based PR agency to raise awareness across local media in Essex, Hertfordshire, and the surrounding areas, encouraging ticket bookings and important monetary donations for its Strictly Air Ambulance event, held in March 2025. The goal was to secure coverage across print, digital, and broadcast media to boost awareness, drive ticket sales, and ultimately raise vital funds for the charity’s life-saving work.

What did Orange do?

Essex-based PR agency Orange developed a strategic campaign for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust aimed not only at driving ticket sales for Strictly Air Ambulance, but also at raising awareness of the charity’s incredible life-saving work.

The strategy leveraged the team’s strong relationships with local journalists, curating a targeted media list that included newspaper, magazine, and broadcast contacts across Essex, Hertfordshire, and the surrounding areas. Orange created press releases promoting the event, highlighting both its entertainment value and the vital work carried out by the charity.
