Braxted Park Estate.

Braxted Park Estate needed an energetic and dedicated Essex PR agency to help promote and raise awareness of its inaugural ‘Let’s Talk Trash’ Festival.

About Braxted Park Estate..

Set in 500 acres of parkland, Braxted Park Estate is recognised as one of the most beautiful venues in Essex. Originally owned by the Countess of Pembroke, Braxted Park is the largest walled private estate in the county and now belongs to the Clark family. Restored by Sir Allen Clark in the 1950s, the Queen Anne House sits majestically at the end of a long sweeping drive. Two large lakes surround the house and host a myriad of wild fowl, rare birds and exotic fish.

The estate offers a variety of event spaces, including the Ballroom, Pavilion, Orangery and the venue’s new outdoor area Woodlands. Braxted Park hosts festivals, fayres, team building and even sporting events. The estate also boasts a picturesque nine hole golf course and a state-of-the-art cookery school.

The Brief.

Supported by the ECC Climate Action Challenge Fund, Braxted Park hosted its first 'Let's Talk Trash' Festival in collaboration with Plume Academy, Maldon District Council and Essex County Council. In a bid to inspire behavioural change towards littering, the estate invited 300 students between the ages of 11-13 to take part in a selection of educational and interactive activities.

The brief included securing print and online local media coverage, showcasing the success of the youth-driven event. The client required a fast turnaround for this event so it was paramount that the chosen agency worked quickly and efficiently to achieve the desired results.

What did Orange do?

Orange efficiently created a media strategy for the ‘Let’s Talk Trash’ Festival pre and post-event to promote and raise awareness of the youth-driven initiative, as well as to position Braxted Park’s owner Duncan Clark as a sustainability spokesperson.

Orange’s strategy involved a curation of two press releases; one to promote the festival before the launch and another to celebrate its success.

The Juicy Results.

Orange successfully supported Braxted Park Estate in increasing awareness of the first ‘Let’s Talk Trash’ Festival in the lead up to the festival pre and post-event.

Thanks to the team’s media relations expertise, Orange successfully secured coverage of the ‘Let’s Talk Trash’ Festival across a broad range of online and print media sources, including leading local titles such as Essex Chronicle, Braintree & Witham Times and Maldon & Burnham Standard.

The total coverage reached an audience of 30,100 – an outstanding outcome for Braxted Park Estate with 12 pieces of coverage for the event secured.
