The Brief.
Broadland Food Innovation Centre needed a team of social media experts to provide guidance and support to food and drink SMEs looking to learn more about how to utilise the social media platform TikTok, and how to implement influencer marketing into their marketing strategies.
What did Orange do?
As a food and drink PR agency, Orange organised and hosted two in-depth workshops with Broadland Food Innovation Centre; the first one being ‘How to Work with Influencers to Increase Brand Awareness’ and the second ‘How to Embrace TikTok as a Food and Drink Brand’. Both workshops welcomed food and drink brands from across Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and surrounding areas to learn more about how social media and influencer marketing can positively impact their brands.
Within the TikTok workshop, Orange taught attendees how to use TikTok as an effective marketing tool to help transform their food and drink brands and get seen by potential customers. The workshop covered multiple topics, including how to set up a TikTok account, how to keep up with TikTok trends and how to reach new customers using the platform.
During the influencer workshop, Orange also gave attendees a greater insight into what an influencer is and how influencer partnerships can be an incredibly effective marketing tool for food and drink brands when managed correctly. Orange provided quality advice on what to look out for when finding an influencer that aligns with brand values as well as how to approach and manage influencer collaborations.
The Juicy Results.
By the end of Orange’s TikTok workshop, attendees had a much greater understanding of the TikTok platform and had all successfully set up a TikTok business account for their food and drink brand. The attendees were able to go away with an idea of who they need to be following, how to keep up with the latest trends, and how to create stand-out videos that would get their brands noticed across the food and drink scene.
Likewise, with the influencer workshop, attendees went away with a full understanding of how influencer marketing and partnerships work, including why it can help to increase brand awareness. Each attendee also had the opportunity to research influencers who aligned with their brand and shared a relevant audience, all of whom they can now reach out to for collaborations.
Both workshops were a huge success, benefitting both the Broadland Food Innovation Centre as well as the food and drink brands that attended.
